Advertising Age — a popular American information agency. It was them who compiled the list of the best advertising campaigns of the 21st century.
Dove, Real Beauty Campaign
Dove took the first place. In 2004, they launched the Real Beauty campaign. The goal was to rethink the concept of female beauty, normalize naturalness, and fight beauty complexes.
Dove changed the concept of beauty. Consumers began to rethink beauty, and eventually, other brands had to follow this trend.
Old Spice, The Man Your Man Could Smell Like
“Yes, I’m on a horse!” Who hasn’t seen this ad? The clips from it became a joke, but this campaign turned out to be one of the most successful.
The ad targeted women because they were the ones buying grooming products for their men.
Thus, they created the slogan: “The man your man could smell like.” The campaign was successful, and Old Spice shot a few more similar commercials.
Red Bull, Red Bull Stratos
Red Bull Stratos was a project in which extreme skydiver Felix Baumgartner participated.
He ascended to 39 km in the stratosphere above New Mexico and made a freefall to Earth. He broke the sound barrier, becoming the first person to do so without engine assistance, and set a Guinness World Record.
Millions watched this spectacle, which made the advertising campaign successful.
